We all want to be happy in our life and no one want the sadness. Each one of us has our own belief about the “secret of happiness”. And we spend ever moment of life in search of that happiness.
So, what is happiness?? Happiness is a natural phenomenon. It is a state of mind which make you feel alive. It is sense of well being, joy, and contentment. Happiness is like skill, which we build through a number of daily choices.
Happiness is the positive emotions we have in regards to the pleasurable activities we take part in through daily activities. Some examples of positive emotions are pleasure, comfort, gratitude, hope and inspiration that increases our happiness and move us to flourish. In Scientific literature, happiness is referred to as “Hedonia”, the presence of positive emotions and the absence of negative emotions.
Pursuit of happiness means the action or activity of trying to achieve the mental peace or live life in away that makes you happy. Happiness is not absence of problem, it is the ability to deal with them. Sometimes our belief affects our happiness. It is our thought process and belief that takes time to evaluate things as per direction and priorities. For example,
- People unable to bounce back, living life like a dead one due to heart-wrenching past memories.
- Some people have extreme belief in “hope” which keep them trapped into the loop of drama and emotions.
Therefore, the key to change our core belief and lasting happiness is “Self-awareness”. It helps to direct our thoughts, perception, beliefs and emotions. We have to do all the things which keep us happy except illegal thing that may violate the right of others, and if we are not happy then we can’t keep our relations happy whether it is work life or personal life.
